SmartScout free trial: what the 7-day money-back guarantee covers

Last reviewed October 29, 2026

Quick answerSmartScout has no free trial or free plan; its three priced plans carry a 7-day money-back guarantee for new customers. SellerAmp SAS offers a 14-day free trial and SellerSprite a 3-day one.

Is there a SmartScout free trial?

No. SmartScout has no free trial and no free plan; its pricing page shows a money-back guarantee, and its checkout asks for a card. As read on October 29, 2026, Basic costs $49 a month on the Monthly view and $29 a month on the Yearly view, which the checkout charges as $348 for the year.

SmartScout's US pricing page and Terms describe a 7-day money-back guarantee for new customers, not a free trial, although some other SmartScout pages say "free trial" and a China-market block on its home page mentions 14 days, so we describe only the guarantee.

How the SmartScout money-back guarantee works

Basic, Essentials and Business each carry the 7-day money-back guarantee, and Enterprise carries none. The pricing page prints "Full access, 7-day Money-Back Guarantee" under each of the three priced plans, on both views.

The Terms add the conditions. The guarantee applies only to new customers and only once per customer. A refund request must reach SmartScout within the first seven days of the account, as a written and unambiguous notice, and SmartScout checks eligibility before it refunds. Access to the purchased service ends when the refund is issued. The yearly arithmetic for every plan is in SmartScout pricing.

SmartScout's pricing page is headed "Risk-Free Pricing", while its Terms limit the 7-day money-back guarantee to new customers, once per customer, and say a cancellation takes effect 14 days after notice, so we call it a 7-day money-back guarantee with conditions, not risk-free.

What SmartScout gives away free

Two SmartScout tools have a free version, the Chrome extension tier and the Seller Map preview, and its wholesale page offers a demo with no credit card. None of them is a trial of a paid plan.

  • Chrome extension: a free tier that needs no subscription to start, per SmartScout's features page. The SmartScout Chrome extension guide covers it.
  • Seller Map preview: the Seller Map shows where sellers are located. A public preview opens without a sign-in and shows a world map and a prompt to pick one of 12 Amazon marketplaces, while the full Seller Map starts on Business.
  • Demo: a demo with a SmartScout rep can be booked, and it is not a trial of the product.

SmartScout's pages give the Chrome extension a free tier of 100 uses a month on one page and 1,000 on another, so treat either figure as unconfirmed.

What the SmartScout checkout asks for

The payment step asks for a card number, expiration, CVC and postal code, under the button "Start My Subscription". The Yearly view charges the whole year at once: $348 for Basic, $1,188 for Essentials and $2,868 for Business. The Monthly view charges $49, $119 or $299.

Free trials on rival research tools

Two rivals offer a trial. SellerAmp SAS gives a 14-day free trial on every plan, and SellerSprite gives a free 3-day trial of its monthly plan. Helium 10 and Jungle Scout Catalyst offer a refund window instead, as SmartScout does.
