SmartScout Chrome extension: what is free
The SmartScout Chrome extension has a free tier, and SmartScout's features page says no subscription is required to start. That is not a free plan. SmartScout's pricing page lists no free plan and no free trial; Basic is $49 a month on the Monthly view and $29 a month on the Yearly view, paid as $348 for the year, as read on October 29, 2026. The SmartScout free trial page explains the 7-day money-back guarantee instead.
SmartScout's pages give the Chrome extension a free tier of 100 uses a month on one page and 1,000 on another, so treat either figure as unconfirmed.
In SmartScout's description, the extension layers inline revenue and Best Sellers Rank data on Amazon pages, with a built-in FBA calculator at current fee rates. Revenue figures are modeled estimates. SmartScout says the extension does not collect or store individual seller data from Amazon's Seller API.

SmartScout lists the Chrome extension on all four plans, so what changes by plan is the data behind it. Search results data in the extension starts on Essentials, $119 a month on the Monthly view and $99 a month on the Yearly view, paid as $1,188 for the year.
| Extension use | What SmartScout lists | Plan |
|---|---|---|
| Start without a subscription | A free tier of unstated size; no subscription required to start | None needed |
| Product data on Amazon pages | Product Research Extension, Sales Estimator, FBA Calculator | Basic |
| Search results data | Search Results Data in the Extension | Essentials |
| Keyword research | 5,000 ASINs a month on Basic; unlimited on Essentials | Basic, Essentials |
Keyword research is its own line on the plan cards, beside the extension. The 7-day money-back guarantee covers the paid plans for new customers, once per customer.
SmartScout extension against other free extensions
Three other tools offer a free start, and each starts somewhere else.
- Helium 10 ties its free extension to a free account: its page says to sign up for unlimited searches, so a search counter applies. Platinum, the first plan with full extension access, is $129 a month on Pay monthly and $99 a month on Pay yearly (USD), sized for $0 to $100K in yearly sales.
- SellerSprite lists a free Chrome extension on its home page. Its Basic plan is $39 a month on Monthly.
- Keepa shows price history and price-drop alerts free with no account needed, per its home page. Pro adds Product Finder and Seller Lookup, and its price is on Keepa's page.
Pick SmartScout's extension when you will use its brand, seller and subcategory data in the app too, and Helium 10's when product and keyword data on search pages is the whole job. An online arbitrage seller who only needs price history before buying a clearance deal may need no paid plan. See the best free Amazon product research tools and what SmartScout is.
