SmartScout pricing: how the plans are built, what the add-ons cost you and how to work out a year

How SmartScout plans are built by data level, what extra users and add-ons change, and the arithmetic for a full year, read from the vendor October 29, 2026.

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-29

Quick answerSmartScout sells four plans, three with listed prices and a custom Enterprise plan, each unlocking a deeper level of Amazon data. Brand data starts on the second plan, and seller and subcategory data on the third. Yearly cost is the monthly rate times twelve, plus extra users and add-ons. Read the live page in both billing views.
SmartScout is likely to fit when

✓ Wholesale and online arbitrage sellers who start research from brands and supplier price lists

✓ Brand owners tracking competitors and category share

✓ Agencies that need brand and seller lists

✓ Sellers who want brand, seller and subcategory data in one tool

Important limitations

— Sellers who only need a single niche check

— Anyone still to try Amazon's own explorer and a free extension

— Sellers who want listing, advertising and inventory tools in the same subscription

— Anyone who needs exact sales numbers rather than estimates

SmartScout pricing: four plans sorted by data level

SmartScout does not price by the number of products you look at. It prices by how high up the Amazon data you can reach. The pricing page names four plans: Basic, Essentials, Business and a custom Enterprise plan. The first three show a monthly rate, and the page has a toggle between monthly and yearly views that changes the rate shown for each.

This guide leaves the amounts to the vendor's live page, because the figures differ between the two views and plans change. Read it from a US view with the toggle on monthly and then on yearly, as it stood on October 29, 2026.

What each plan unlocks

  • Basic: product-level data and keyword research, the Chrome extension, a price list scanner and the sales estimator.
  • Essentials: everything in Basic plus brand-level data, unlimited keyword research and tracking through Search Terms Explorer and Rank Maker, and historical search trends.
  • Business: everything in Essentials plus seller-level data with buy box history, subcategory data, brand reports, sentiment analysis and a metered snapshot of SmartScout data for AI tools.
  • Enterprise: custom. The page lists historical data, seller exports, ad research, share of voice, full AI tool access and custom dashboards, and it sends you to the sales team.
  • Usage caps rise with each tier. The comparison table lists custom segments from 1 up to 50 and price list scanning from 5,000 up to 200,000 ASINs across the four columns.

Extra users and add-ons that change the bill

Each of the first three plans lists one user, and the table shows a separate charge for every additional user. The vendor's terms add that accounts are assigned to one person each and cannot be shared, so a second researcher needs a seat.

The AI Listing Architect has a monthly allowance of ASINs that grows by plan, with a per-ASIN charge beyond it. Ad research, seller exports, the data API and Data Lake are listed as add-ons that go through the sales team. Terms also note that prices on the site may be shown with or without tax depending on the page, so check the total at checkout.

How to work out a full year

  • Monthly view: take the monthly rate for your plan and multiply by twelve.
  • Yearly view: take the lower monthly rate shown in that view and multiply by twelve. Check on the checkout page whether the year is charged at once, because that sets how much cash goes out on day one.
  • Add seats: extra users times their monthly charge times twelve.
  • Add allowances you will exceed: price list scans, AI listing ASINs or exports.
  • The gap between views is the monthly rate minus the yearly-view rate, times twelve. That gap is what a year of commitment buys you, so only take it once the tool has earned its place.

Pricing terms and a safe way to test

The pricing page offers a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first three plans. Plan the trial week before you pay: choose three brands or subcategories you already know, check them against your own Seller Central numbers if you sell, and write down which questions the data answered. The terms say a subscription can be ended at any time but ending takes effect 14 days after the vendor receives your notice, so cancel before the next renewal date, not on it.

Which plan fits, and when a rival costs less

  • Product and keyword research only: the first plan covers it. Helium 10 and Jungle Scout also sell at this level, and SmartScout vs Helium 10 explains how Helium 10 prices by your yearly sales instead.
  • Brand lookup for wholesale: you need the second plan or above.
  • Seller lists and subcategory research: you need the third plan, which is where the SmartScout review says the platform differs most from rivals.
  • A single niche decision: Amazon's Product Opportunity Explorer sits inside Seller Central, and the best research tools guide lists other options by stage.
